As cases in Guyana continue to rise, let’s take a minute to review the hierarchy of controls to ensure we are protected in every way possible.
Firstly- ELIMINATE the hazard by staying home if you can. Avoid crowded spaces. Work from home.
Secondly- ENGINEERING controls: many businesses have done their part by installing barriers between their employees and customers. There is also the provision of hand washing stations.
Thirdly- ADMINISTRATIVE controls: adhere to the information shared by reputable organisations such as WHO and observe signs that require hand washing, temperature testing and social distancing etc.
Fourthly- wear your PPE: personal protective equipment i.e your masks, gloves wear necessary.
Protect yourself, your loved ones and those around you. Play your part in reducing the count.
